Plain language for families
What this site collects
Logicnaut Block Lab is built to collect as little learner information as possible.
What stays on this device
The optional explorer name, solved missions, stars, bolts, clue counts, and saved block drafts are stored only in this browser under the key logicnaut-scratch-state-v1. That learning record is never sent to a server.
What we do not ask a child for
We do not ask for an email address, exact birth date, photo, voice recording, public username, location, school, or advertising profile.
No advertising and no model chat
This site has no ads, no public rankings, no paid currency, no open-ended child chat, and no production model calls. Every program is run and checked by deterministic code inside the browser.
Family controls
Clearing this site's browser data removes the device-local name and progress. Cloud accounts and cross-device syncing are not part of this release.
Voice and sound
Jarvis speaks only with a voice installed on this device, through your browser's speech synthesizer. Voices that would send text to a network speech service are never selected, and on a browser without an installed voice he stays silent. Chimes and suit sounds are synthesized on the device. The Sound button silences all of it.
Type faces
Headings and text use the Orbitron, Exo 2, and Share Tech Mono faces, loaded from Google Fonts. That request carries no learner data beyond an ordinary web request, and the site still works with system fonts if it is blocked.
About Scratch
Scratch is a project of the Scratch Foundation. Block Lab is an independent Logicnaut learning lab that uses the same block names, colours, and shapes so skills transfer. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Scratch.
